Around the World with Stamps
StampIT’s first international competition was to create a written or video presentation linked to postage stamps. It was open to 5-15 year olds with three categories: 5-7yrs; 8-11yrs and 12-15yrs.
Entrants were asked to choose a postage stamp which inspires them and find out more about the person, place, animal or object on the stamp. The entrants were also encouraged to include some elements in a second language to their own connected to the official language of the country of the stamp.
Some were traditional posters but entries included PowerPoint and Book Creator presentations. The winner of the 8-11 years created a short video presentation. The winners are from Scotland, England and India.
