Become a Stamp Dealer for a Day
The organisers of the Charing Cross Collectors Market, that takes place every Saturday in London near the Embankment Underground Station, are offering a unique opportunity to younger stamp collectors under the age of 25. They will allocate two tables (12ft) for any enterprising young stamp enthusiasts to sell their spare stamps or covers to collectors and public, some of whom come from overseas. The tables will be provided free of charge. Youngsters under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Bridget Pettecrew, organiser, said “We would like to encourage the new generation of stamp collectors to think about becoming the stamp dealers of the future. This will give them to chance to experience the trade at first hand, chat with experienced dealers and pick up a few tips. I will be available to provide encouragement and advice.”
