Charlie wins Penny Black at Salisbury
Charlie Whitworth, aged 8, from Salisbury, was the winner of the Penny Black from a free draw for young collectors visiting the Stamp Active stand at the Salisbury Collectors Fair in May.
The Penny Black was generously donated by Dauwalder’s of Salisbury, the organisers of the popular two day event. All youngsters received a free goodie bag and other gifts at the show. Although not large in number, the children were enthusiastic and excited about their visit as they hunted for items for their collections. Once again, the most popular collecting area appeared to be “Animals” with “Chickens” and “Cats” amongst the varied range of topics.
