David Rossall wins Bill Hart Award
David Rossall from Kilmarnock, Scotland, has been awarded the Bill Hart Award for outstanding service to youth philately. This is a special award that is given to just one person each year. David served as a member of the National Youth Stamp Group, now known as the Stamp Active Network, for over fifteen years and, most recently, was their PR Officer. He ran school stamp clubs for many years including the award-winning Doonfoot Primary School Stamp Club which won the Schools Trophy in the British Youth Stamp Championships many times.
Susan Henderson commented “David will be greatly missed as a member of Stamp Active but he has been a leading light in youth philately for many years. We are extremely grateful for his contribution which has brought pleasure to many children though his involvement.”
It is hoped that David will be presented with his award at Stampex.
