MIDPEX Sponsors The Anne Dummer Award
Following the success of the 2013 event, the Midpex organisers have agreed to continue to sponsor The Anne Dummer Award over the next five years. It is promoted by the Stamp Active Network and goes to the “Young Collector of the Year” who is recognised, not only as a collector but as someone who has made a wider contribution to philately in general. This year’s winner, Maisie Crawford (who received her 2013 award at Midpex this year) was someone who helped organise a school club as well as build her own collection. Commenting on the sponsorship, Chairman of Midpex, Bryan Jones, said “It is great to see young people getting involved in our hobby. They are our future and Midpex is delighted to be able to support Stamp Active in their efforts to take our wonderful hobby to more youngsters.
