Nominations requested for Young Collector 2015
Once again we are inviting nominations for the Anne Dummer Award for Young Collector of the Year. This annual award is made in memory of Anne Dummer who ran Kidstamps, and who was passionate about children enjoying their collecting. She was not interested in who won competitions or who had the best collection, but she was interested in enthusiasm and children who spread their love of collecting to others. We are therefore looking for nominations for any child who displays these attributes, who enjoys the hobby, and by their attitude and efforts helps other children to see the pleasure in collecting. Please therefore take a close look at the children you know, in your club or not, who really enjoy their collecting, and lets others know it. There is no formal application form to fill in – all we need is a few details about the child you are nominating – name, age, club if any, and a short description of what they do that makes them stand out and deserve your nomination. Arrangements are usually made to make the presentation at a suitably agreed venue in the second half of the year, so we would appreciate nominations from you by the end of April at the latest.
Please give this your serious consideration and let me have your nominations.
